This is a flare cartridge pouch which would have originally carried 18 flare cartridges. Unfortunately this example has had 12 cartridge retainer loops removed. LuftwaffeK98 Ammunition Pouches
A set of K98 ammunition pouches which are both dated 1938 and maker marked. One of the the pouches is stamped with a Luftwaffe acceptance stamp "LBA" ( Luftwaffe Bekeidungs Apmt ) on the inside of the cell lid. The other pouch is not LBA stamped.
