Knights Cross of The War Merit Cross Without Swords

A rare example of a Knights Cross of The War Merit Cross without Swords. This example has been awarded, however i have no documentation concerning the recipient.
The medal has the hallmark of "900" and numbered "1" on the central downward facing arm. The rippon loop is also has the "900" hallmark with the number "1". The underside of the rippon has a greyish silk lining with press studs.
