1st Class War Merit Cross Without Swords
This is a nice example of 1st Class war merit cross without swords in its original issue packet. The award was created on 18th October 1939 to commermorate the victory battle of leipzig. Hitler established the award to in recognition of during WW2 war. The medal was awarded for meritorious service without being directly under enemy fire. This example has the maker's code "65" ( Klein & Quenzer). The issue packet was made by "Gunnar Stephan".
