Embroidered German Cross in Gold

The German Cross in gold was introduced on 28th April 1941 and was to recognise the bravey of individual servicemen above which was required for the bestowal of the Iron Cross 1st Class but not up to the Knight's Cross. This example is the embroidered verison which was introduced on 5th June 1942 and was purely for field use. It is in very good conditition retaining it's paper backing.
