U.S. Airforce 3rd Pattern Tropical Jacket

This is part of Lieutenant-Colonel Reid's uniform collection, which he wore when he held the rank of Major and was serving in Vietnam. The jacket differs slightly form the 3rd Pattern Army examples by having additional sleeve pocket to accommodate pens and pencils. The jacket retains all of it's original insignia, rank, name, Airforce and Pilot's wings. The jacket sleeves have been tailored short, which was common practice amongst all ranks and services serving in the Vietnam. The jacket is in excellent condition and dated 1968.
