Army Panzer Enlisted Man's Soldbuch
This is a nicely detailed soldbuch belonging to a army panzer enlisted man Joseph Kusler, personal service number 1512, blood group B. Joseph was born on 4th April 1912 and was enlisted on 19th August 1940 into the "Ers Zug Panzer Trp Abtlg ( Replacement Training Panzer Section ) at Rathenow. The soldbuch has a nice record of the his personal kit issued plus a very interesting issue of special clothing for the panzer arm and the motorised infantry on page 8 of the soldbuch. It also appears that Joseph had transferred into two other units listed on page 4 the final unit was Infantry Replacement Battalion 29 ( Motorised ) on 10th October 1941. He had also been inoculated for smallpox and typhoid listed on page 9. On page 23 it shows that Joseph enjoy leave on two occasions, 11th November 1940 and 20th February 1941. On page 22, it show that Joseph won three awards the first dated 31/12/40, the second 31/1/41 and the final award on 30/4/41. However the handwritten list of awards is illegible. The final date entry is 28th December 1941 on page 20.
