R.E. Officers 1940 Pattern Battle Dress Blouse

This is an extremely nice example of a Royal Engineer officer's 1940 pattern battle dress blouse with the rank of captain. The red Gazelle formation badge is of the 13th Corps Head Quarters, which was adopted in the western desert. The left shoulder has a white lanyard which would have been a squadron or regimental colour. The BD also retains it's contract label, which gives the manufacturer's name as "Jackson The Tailor" and the date of production, September 1942 and it's size 9. It is also stamped with the WD year letter acceptance code "O" for 1942.
