U.S. M1948 Russet Boots
A nice pair of M1948 russet boots which are maker BFG ( Benjamin Franklin Goodrich ), which is a U.S. tire company still in existence today and was established in 1870. The boots are based on the WW2 jump boots and are often mistaken to be WW2 jump boots by the novice collector. The difference between the two styles is slanted heel on the Jump boot which also had 11 to 13 eyelets depending on size. The M1948 boots which only had 11 eyelets and a standard shaped heal. The boots are in excellent condition and retain the original soldiers name "FARBER" and are approximately a size 9.
