1st Class War Merit Cross

This is a very nice example of a 1st Class War Merit Cross, which was created on 18th October 1939 to commemorate the Battle of Leipzig and was awarded for recognition for merit. This example has the has the number "113" on the back of the pin, which identifies the maker as "Hermann Aurich fo Dresden.
