U.S. M1956 Field Pack Adapter

This is a M1956 field pack adapter which allowed the M1956 field pack, more commonly referred to as the Butt pack to be worn on the upper back. The adapter is "DSA" ( Defence Supply Agency ) marked, which was used from 1962 to 1977.
