Waffen-SS Fatique Denim Tunic

This is a Waffen-SS fatique denim tunic made from herrinbone twill. The tunic is very similar to the army pattern except for the collar. The SS pattern had a stand up collar where the army pattern had a full collar. The army also switched from off white denim to reed green denim by 1940. However continued to issue the off white denim until stocks where depleted. This example has a rank pip for a Oberschutze ( Senior Private ) and dated 1940 with the makers name and size markings.
