U.S. .30 Cal Ammunition Tin

This is an ammunition tin for the. 30 ammunition originally designed for use with the 30 calibre machine gun. This example differs from the WW2 made examples by having a release catch designed to fight in fighting vehicles. The ammunition box has be re-purposed for use with M73 Green signal cartridges. The ammunition is is maker marked "United" stamped with the ordnance proof mark and dated 1973.
