U.S. 2nd Pattern HBT Suit

This is a 2nd pattern HBT suit, which has the gas flap, a single breast pocket and two large patch pockets on the on the front of the hips and a single large patch pocket on the rear. The two front hip patch pockets have had the flaps removed to allow easier access, especially when seated. The one piece HBT suit was issued to motor mechanics of all branches it was also issued to armoured crews as a combat uniform. This example still retains its belt and is size marked 38 regular. The actual measurements when laid flat are shoulder to shoulder 20 inches, armpit to armpit 22 inches, shoulder to cuff 24 inches, waist 32 to 34 inches and overall length from collar seam to the end of the leg 64 inches.
