British Auxiliary Fire Service MKII Helmet

This is a very nice example of a MKII helmet which has been issued to the Auxiliary Fire Service with the letters "AFS" stencilled to the front of the helmet. The shell and liner are both dated 1939. The shell is maker marked "RO&CO" for Rubery Owen & Co, the liner is maker marked "TTC" for Teddy Toy Company and size stamped 7. The crown pad has come away from the helmet but is still present.
