British Home Defence MKII Helmet

This is a nice clean example of a home defence helmet which would have been worn by governmental employees such as factory workers employed by the Ministry of supply or the Ministry of Works. The helmet shell is maker marked J.S.S. for Joseph Sankey & Son and dated 1941. The liner is size stamped 6.1/2, and produced by Fisher Foil LTD. The liner appears to be dated 1948.
