U.S. M1942 Speical HBT Shirt

This is an interesting example of a M1942 herringbone twill shirt ( HBT ) which has the anti-gas flap. The shirt has been personalised with the words "Dixie Clipper, the south will rise again". However i can not confirm if this graffiti is period or not. The collar has had a period repair and the size label is still attached 38 regular.
