U.S. M1943 Field Jacket

The M1943 Field jacket is part of the M1943 field uniform consisting of the field jacket, separate hood and trousers. The M1943 field uniform was first evaluated by units of the 3rd Infantry Division on the Anzio beachhead in the summer of 1943. The uniform only started to get issued in large quantities in late 1944. This example has had a field repair to the collar except and has a tare on the inside lining. The contract label is missing, however the size label is still present 38 small.
