German K98 Ammunition Pouches

A nice set of pre-war K98 ammunition pouches which are dated 1937 and 1938 respectively. One of the pouches have had all the cell dividers removed and the other pouch has had one of the cell dividers removed. It was common practice for combat veterans to remove the cell dividers to allow faster and easier access to their five round clips of ammunition. One of the pouches has had a period repair on the retaining strap where the stitching had gone and the strap has been secured with a stud.
