British 46 Pattern BD Trousers

46 pattern trousers, which are externally identical to the 40 pattern. The only difference is internally, 46 pattern has an extra set of brace buttons and the contract label is on the inside of the waist band. This example has unfortunately suffered with some moth damage. mainly around the lift hip and some moth nips on the front of the crutch. However if a Denison or Jerkin is being worn, it will cover most of the damage moth area. A good cheaper alternative for the more expensive 40 pattern. The trousers retains their contract label which gives the makers name, James A Stewart LTD, size 14 and the dated 1948. It also has belt loops which was not standard on 46 pattern. Which i suspect is a tailors addition.
