U.S. Marine Corps ERDL Jacket

This is a Marine Corps ERDL ( Engineer, Research, Development Laboratory ) camouflage jacket which retains its contract label which gives the name of the contractor "Elder MFG.CO" and is dated 1970. The Marine Corps globe has been cut-away form the breast pocket flap. Besides the removal of the M.C. globe the jacket is in excellent condition. The ERDL uniform was first issued on a restricted basis to pathfinder and reconnaissance combat units in 1968. However it started to become issued to selective front-line infantry companies in 1969.
