U.S. M1917 Bayonet

The M1917 bayonet is basically a copy of the British P13 bayonet which was taken into U.S. service when the United States entered World War One. The bayonet retained most of the British characteristics of the P13. including the deep grooves in the handle. However a clearing hole was added to the pommel and the British style leather scabbard had the M1910 belt hook added. This example has suffered with corrosion to the blade. However the U.S. stamp and ordnance flaming bomb with the "eagle inspection mark are clearly visible. It is also maker marked with the letter "W" within a circle for Winchester. The pommel is also marked with an unknown unit marking "W.S.S.17". Age Restricted item. Proof of age must be provided. This item will not be sent to a residential address.
