British General Service Gas Mask & Haversack

This is short hose tan canvas and rubber general service gas mask and haversack. The gas mask and haversack are both dated 1939. The hose has dried and stiffened especially where it connects to the snout of the gas mask. The straps are all present, however the fibre pad where all the straps meet, has stiffened and started to curl.The haversack is maker marked Siebe Gorman & Co.LTD. Tan canvas and rubber general service gas masks are only manaufactured to 1939. After 1940 the G.S. mask was only produced in black rubber.
