British P14 Rifle ( Pre-EU/UK Deactivation )

For sale to customers outside the European Union Only. The P14 was introduced on 21st June 1916 and where all produce in the United States as a contract from the British government. However the rifles where not liked by British front line troops as they found, the P14 too long, badly balanced and cumbersome especially in combat when the bayonet was fitted. However whey where continued to be used to 1918. After WW1 the rifles where all removed from service and placed in storage. In 1940 with the threat of a German invasion and the creation of the Home Guard, the rifles where taken out of storage and issued to Home guard units. The British army finally declared the rifles obsolete in July 1947. This example is in very good condition. It originally had volley sights which have been removed and the rifle had been re-purposed as a drill rifle indicated by the letters "DP for Drill Purpose. This particular rifle was produced by Winchester identified bye the letter "W" before the serial number. For Non EU Sales Only. However can be re-deactivated to the current EU specification.
