U.S. M1C Paratrooper Helmet & Mitchell Camouflage Cover

A M1C paratrooper helmet with a Mitchell camouflage cover. The letter "C" stands for conversion. The shell has a partial visible heat number '??6B'. The chinstrap buckle has the anchor emblem. The liner is the green plastic first introduced in 1969. This example has December 1965 dated suspension straps. Which I suspect was left over stock and utilised during the period and used on the very first green plastic liners being produced. The sweat band is dated 1964 and a 1970 dated Mitchell camouflage helmet
