British National Fires Service MKII Helmet

A good example of a MKII National Fire Service which has the area HQ number 12 for Stevenage. The regional HQ was Cambridge. The inside of the shell has discoloured with a slight surface rust and is dated 1938. The liner and chinstrap are in good condition. The liner is maker marked Helmets LTD. Who produced helmet liners from 1937 to 1943 and where based in Wehathampsted. The liner is dated 1939.
