U,S. Convalescent Jacket

This is a blue version of the convalescent jacket which would be worn by walking patients. The jacket would actually the convalescent suit with matching coloured trousers. The suit came in two colours, Royal blue and maroon. This example is unissued and retains its contract label, which gives the size ( Large ), pattern dated 17th January 1945 and the manufacturing date 6th July 19745.
