U.S. Service Jacket

This is in fact a M1950 Service jacket is is very similar to the M1944 service jacket was originally first made in the United Kingdom for U.S. army and was designed to be alternative jacket to the service tunic and was chosen by General Eisenhower in April 1944 and subsequently became known as the IKE Jacket. This M1950 is in excellent condition and has been badge up with original WW2 8th Army Airforce insignia with the rank of corporal and three overseas service bars, indicating 18 months overseas service. The insignia was applied by an re-enactor. This example retains its contract label which gives the size 42 regular, the makers name "Longoma Industries Inc" and the date of manufacture 25th May 1950.
