U.S. Special Flannel Shirt

This is an enlisted man's anti-gas flannel shirt which has buttoned front flap and two buttons under the collar to attach the special gas hood. It would also normally have two sleeve gussets which have been removed. The front gas flap has had a small piece cut away. The size label is still attached which gives the size 14 x 32. It also retains part of the contract label. It also has the original owners name and service number. The anti-gas flannel shirt was introduced in 1942 and was given a special designation.
