U.S. M1943 Special HBT Shirt

This is a very good example of the M1943 anti-gas herringbone twill shirt which was introduced in March 1943 and was given the special designation. The anti-gas features are two buttons underneath the collar to attach the special anti-gas hood and front flap. The difference between the M1942 and M1943 HBT shirts, is the M1943 has a folded seam on the chest pockets and a darker green shade ( Olive Drab 7 ). This example is size marked 32 regular.
