U.S. M1943 Field Trousers

The M1943 field uniform was first evaluated by units of the 3rd Infantry Division on the Anzio beach head in the summer of 1943. It was then issued in quantity to airborne units in late 1944. Finally being issued to the rest of the U.S. army in January 1945. This example was original originally a 28 inch waist with a 29 or 31 inch leg. However the leg has been shortened to 23 inches. Besides the leg being shortened the trousers are in very good condition retaining its contract and instruction label. The details on the contract label have been washed out, however the instruction details are clearly visible.
