U.S. M1944 Service Jacket

The M1944 service jacket was first made in the United Kingdom for the U.S. army and was designed to be alternative jacket to the service tunic and was chosen by General Eisenhower in April 1944 and subsequently became known as the Ike Jacket. This example is in unissued condition, which retains its contract label which gives the following information, Pattern date 10th May 1944, manufacturing date 9th June 1944, size 36 small and the manufacturer, " Kravitz Clothing Company".
