U.S. 1st Pattern ETO Field Jacket

A 1st Pattern ETO ( European Theatre Of Operations ) field jacket which was produced in the United Kingdom using British Battledress serge material for us with the U.S. Army. It was designed to be worn in winter instead of the M1941 field jacket and was developed by Brigadier General Robert Littlejohn ETO General Commanding. The ETO jacket was introduced in May 1943. This example is in excellent condition retaining its contract label, which gives the following information Size 34, maker "Jackson the Tailor" and date of manufacture 1943. It is also retains the name and personal service number of the its original owner.
