U.S. 2nd Pattern HBT Suit

This is a 2nd pattern herringbone twill suit which was to mechanics of all branches and a combat uniform to armoured crews. The 2nd pattern differs from the 1st pattern by having single chest pocket to the left breast and two large patch pockets on the upper thighs. It was introduced in September 1943. This example has suffered with some damage and has a number of holes mainly in legs below the knees. The overalls retains its size label 34 regular. The measurements when laid flat are shoulder to shoulder 20 inches, armpit to armpit 18 inches, shoulder to end of cuff 23 inches, waist 30 to 32 inches and overall length 63 inches
