U.S. Arctic Overshoes

A unissued 2nd pattern artic overshoes with a rubber enclosed sole and water resistant canvas top and where introduced in 1940. This example is dated 16th November 1940 size stamped 7W ( wide foot ) and retain their contract labels. The artic overshoes continued to be issued as a substitute to the artic issue Shoe Pac boots. This example is maker marked United States Rubber Company Inc.
