British Army General Service Side Cap

British army G.S. side cap which was officially replaced in September 1943 by the G.S. beret, which was not a popular item amongst the British troops. This example is has some slight fraying to the left side of the flap, otherwise it is in good condition. The buttons are brass General service where, some examples will have the regiment or corps buttons. The cap is a small size approximately a size 6.1/4.
