German Honour Cross

This is a good example of the Honour Cross which was instituted on 13th July 1934 by the Reichs President General Field Marshal Von Hindenburg and is sometimes called the Hindenburg Cross. The medal was awarded for all persons who participated in WW1 and to the next of kin of those persons killed during the Great War. This example is maker marked R.V. 24. Pforzheim.
