U.S. M1 Rifle Sling

This is the webbing M1 sling introduced in 1944 for use with the M1 Garand rifle. The sling continued to be issued with the M14 and M16 rifles. This example is dated February 1951 and stamped "MRT" for Mildrew Resistant Treatment.
