U.S. 3rd Pattern Tropical Jacket ( Air Assault )

This is a very nice example of a 3rd pattern tropical jacket which which retains its contract and size labels. The contract label is dated 1970 and has the manufacturers name Henderson MFG.Co. The jacket retains all of its insignia which has the rank of 2nd Lieutenant, and the unit patches of the 1st Aviation Bridge, 7th Cavalry. The jacket has the branch of service collar insignia of cross swords for Infantry and three qualification badges, Expert Infantry Badge ( EIB), paratrooper qualification jump wings and the air assault badge which was introduced in April 1974. The jacket is size stamped Medium-Regular ( 37 to 41 inches ).
