U.S. Front Seamed Swivel Bale M1 Helmet

This is a front seamed swivel bale helmet which would have been produced from October 1943 to November 1944. This example retains its original smooth finish and has a faint heat number on the inside of the shell "6P". The shell has suffered with a stress fracture which was common on early M1 helmets. The webbing chinstrap is not standard and looks to be period modification. The liner is missing its neck band and chinstrap. However it is in very good condition and has the original owners personal service number written on the inside.
