U.S. M1 Front Seam Fixed Bale Helmet

This is a very nice M1 front seamed fixed bale helmet, which would have been manufactured between July 1941 to October 1943. The helmet has had period repaint with the rank of a Technical sergeant hand stencilled on the front. The webbing chinstrap has some very slight fraying where its attached to the fixed bale. The liner is in very good condition but is missing its neck band and leather chinstrap. The crown of the liner is stamped with the letter 'S" in a oval which identifies the manufacturer as Seaman Paper Company. The leather sweatband is maker marked.
