British Home Defence Zuckerman Helmet

This is a civilian protective helmet more commonly known as the Zuckerman helmet, named after the South African born government scientist who designed the helmet. This example has been repainted and marked "FG" on the front for Fire Guard. The Zuckerman helmet originally cost five shillings during he war in todays money 25 pence.
