British Army Cap Comforter

British army cap comforter, which was worn by Commandos and other troops taken part in covert operations, where a helmet or standard head dress was not suitable for the mission. When the comforter was first issued it was stitched at both ends. The soldier would cut the stitching at one end. This example my be late-war or post-war issue as earlier examples tend to be lighter tan in colour. It has one moth nip, otherwise it is in good condition.
