Family Medal Group ( Father & Two Sons )

This is a medal family grouping which is of the father Albert Neaves who served in WW1 and his to sons Harold and Ronald, both of which served in WW2 and where in the Royal East Kent Regiment ( The Buffs). Albert also served in the Home Guard during WW2 and was award the defence medal for his service in the Home guard. Albert was awarded the WW1 War and Victory Medals which has his name and service number and regiment, Northumberland Fusiliers. He also received to commemorative medals for his service in the Great War. Ronald was awarded the 1939-45, African, Italian Stars and the Defence and War Medals. However the Defence medal is missing its ribbon. Harold was awarded the 1939-45, African, Italian, France and Germany Stars and the Defence and War Medals. The grouping also has Harold's service card and his army pay book AB64. There is also some photographs of the brothers and their father all in uniform. There also a Victory Parade magazine of the 78th Infantry Division published in July 1945. The 78th Infantry Division was part of the 36th Infantry Brigade. Also included is a post-war 1950's brochure, silk hankerchief with a embroidered regimental cap badge and a piece trench art, There is also a photo album with pictures of Egypt, Italy and Austria. There a number of letters from the brother's mother. Also included is a publication of the history of the 78th Divisions final offensive from 9th April to 25th April 1945 and was produced as part of the formations victory parade in July 1945. The publication includes detailed maps of the day to day operations of the offensive. There is also a letter from U.S. General Joseph T. McNarney, thanking all under his command for their service. General McNarney was the allied supreme commander of the Mediterranean Theatre. A very unique piece of family and unit history.
