British MKII Helmet

A MKII helmet which is in extremely good condition. The helmet is actually a Home Defence helmet as indicated by the markings on the front of the shell, which has been removed. Probably by a re-enactor to maker it look as an army issue helmet, especially as the colour scheme looks North African or Mediterranean theatres. It is still an attractive looking helmet with the shell and liner both dated 1939. The shell is maker marked F&L for Fisher & Ludlow. The liner is maker marked B.H&C.LTD for Barrow Hepburn & Gale.LTD and size stamped 7. The liner is also stamped with an arrow within a circle which is a quality control acceptance stamp.
