British Light Weight Gas Mask & Contents

This is a very good example of a Light Weight gas mask which was introduced in September 1943, replacing the General Service gas mask. This example is dated 28th February 1944 and comes with its filter which is dated 25th April 1944. It also comes with a No5 ointment tin, dated January 1943. The ointment tin has suffered with some slight corrosion, however it still retains its ointment tubes. Also included is the anti-lense dimmer dated May 1943 and maker marked B.C.Co. A packet of eyeshields which are dated January 1944. The haversack dated October 1943.
