U.S. Marine Corps Water Bottle Set

A Marine Corps water bottle set, consisting of the cross-over 1st pattern water bottle pouch, which was only issued to the Marine Corps. The 2nd pattern pouch has a reinforced hole in its base. A M1910 water bottle and drinking cup. The water bottle is maker marked TAC.U.CO and dated 1942 and has a plastic cap. The rubber seal is a modern addition. It should be a cork seal. The drinking cup is WW1 vintage and has been personalised with the original owners initials. The Marine Corps continued to be issued M1910 WW1 era webbing and equipment especially in the early part of the war.
