British MKIII Helmet & Camouflage Netting
The MKIII helmet was first developed by the medical research council in 1941 on behalf of the British army. The MKIII was first worn in combat by British and Canadian troops during Operation Overlord the invasion of Northern France ( D-Day ) 6th June 1944. This example is in extremely nice condition retaining all of its original finish and comes with a period camouflage netting. The shell is dated 1945 and the MKII liner is dated 1944 and maker marked "FFL" for Fish Foils LTD.
