British MK1* Helmet

This is in fact a World War One era MK1 brodie helmet which was refurbished for the British army in 1938. The shell is in very good condition with a refurbishment date of 1938. The "HBH", was the company which refurbished the shell Harrison Brothers & Howson. The side of the shell has a unknown unit flash. It possibly be Home Guard regional flash. The MK1 liner is size stamped 7 and is also dated 1938. It is maker marked JCS & W.LTD for J.Crompton Sons & Webb, who produced liners from 1938 to 1943. It retains a very nice early chinstrap which has the original owners name written upon it.
