South African MKII Helmet

A nice example of a South African MKII helmet retaining its original desert paint scheme, which has a ruff textured finish. The rear of the visor has three small holes which allowed a cotton neck protector to be attached protecting the wear from sunburn. The MK1 liner is maker marked Jager Rand and dated 1942. Jager Rand only produced liners from 1940 to 1942.
