Royal Artillery G.S. Beret
A General Service Beret with the unit flash of the Royal Artillery. The G.S. beret was first introduced in September 1943 as a wartime measure to replace the G.S. side cap. When the G.S. beret was first introduced it was dubbed as 'Cap Ridiculous" as it was an unpopular item amongst British troops. However it was for universal wear and the troops got used to it. This example is in good condition, with a ver faint makers stamp. It is approximately a size 7.
